Surreal Soothing Seagoon Shocker

It's curious as to the things you sometimes find comforting. Comfort food, comfort TV, Comfort music. Comfort radio? Had to have a lie down in a darkened room yesterday due to a migraine (warning:using your brain can have serious side effects so thinking-don't do it) and reached out to our el cheapo Internet radio for sounds.
I often want something burbling away just to take the focus off my ever present tinnitus. Silence is not an option.
There's something I find comforting about Goon radio. It's just old Goon shows played endlessly. I was never into the Goons (way before my time, honest guv) and can't say it makes me laugh that much but there's something about the preserved voices of Spike Milligan, Peter Sellers and especially Harry 'Sir Highway' Seacombe in amongst that 1950's BBC sound effected aural landscape that I find strangely comforting. But then I'm odd like that.
