Reflections Of Harry
via news.bbc.co.uk
Heard this on the radio this morning. A look back on the life of Harry Patch who was the last surviving British former soldier who experienced World War I. Many have cited Harry as one of the last of the noble generation and his words on the futility of war and how little has been learned regarding war in his lifetime often move me to tears.
It's a great shame that when his passing was first reported on the BBC news it was immediately covered by news of British deaths in Afghanistan. Lessons never learned?
