Dreamt I attended a university of the entirely pointless endevour

We all toiled in a vast sprawling open plan building which revelled in the creative exploration of the absurd and seemingly pointless. I contributed to making what looked like a giant bio-mechanical device that looked like the lower half of ostrich's glued together to make a large feathered ball with legs on all sides. We took great pleasure in launching two of these objects upon the unsuspecting world and watched then roll-walk across the playing filed, navigate gates and fences, gardens and such like powered only by the inertia of pointlessness (or so it would seem).
I then found myself making cardboard corners for grass lawns which seemed to make any lawn look distinctly packaged as if ordered from a catalogue and as yet unwrapped. My free time was spent as a member of of a fusion jazz quartet called 'whistling discus' (no really). I played a variety of barely musical things including tuned bellows, intricate warddrobe and drilled discus (is there a plural for multiple discus?).
