Had another parallel dimensions dream only it all looked more akin to a moving 3D anaglyph

The previous dream had slightly past and future time-lines stacked above and below me like a game of 3D chess. This was all much like those red and green 3D pictures only each colour was delayed slightly during motion which made the whole dream akin to when your voice is fed back to you slightly delayed and you find it hard to speak (oh yeah like everyone's experienced that?Another minority analogy from moi. Mary had a little lamb? No just me then). Anyway it made progress through the dream somewhat challenging.

Odd Instruments: The Eigenharp

The Eigenharp is the first attempt at a new musical instrument (though perhaps it's more a hybrid remix) for some time. Looks like a stringed instrument but with lateral motion sensitive keys and a breath controller (oooh breath controllers. They were big once). I once had a go on one of those Akai wind controller devices way back when. The one that looked like a giant bug spray.
Seems to interface with a Mac computer (Windows support due yada yada). We haven't had anything this portable for live performance for a long time so maybe it'll stop a few people just being hunched over a laptop or Edirol type mini keyboard. Mind you the former is remotely affordable.
Good luck to them though.

Audio Doodle: Sick Sense (micro moment)

OK more a throw-away micro doodle but then I've always had a keen interest in the notion of 60 second, 30 second or even 10 second 'audio poem'. You collect them like a series of disjointed photographs that one day may become part of an organised collage. Or not, as the case may be.

A Long Road (Arnold Brown)

It's a cold world, a harsh world, an unfair world

Some people are destined to die without ever really living

Some people get everything they wish for and and it destroys them

There are times when the cruelest punishment you can inflict on another human being are the words 'tomorrow's another day'

It's a long road that we're all fated to travel until we drop

But there are a group of people who make the journey a little easier

The artists, the dancers, the singers, musicians, clowns, acrobats, jugglers, the reggae hip hop remixers from Bristol...

...These people make the load a little lighter

These people make us feel...

The maggot dream (at last)

Can't say I've ever dreamed about maggots before. I always though that the cod psychology dream interpretation squad held this one up as one the the common dreams but this is a first for me anyway.
So I walked into a room and there they were ankle deep writing away.I nonchalantly just got a shovel and started clearing them up into black bags whilst assuring unseen people (out of the dreams eye field of view)  that everything was fine and the problem was being dealt with.I wasn't particularly squeamish about it all. It just seemed normal.
Interpret that as you will.

Digital Editions On Open Source

I've been quite surprised at how easy Adobe Digital Editions was to install on my Linux Mint desktop. Proprietary software can often be a pain on an open source desktop and despite Adobe's promise of a native Linux edition it has, as yet been unforthcoming. Our local library offers free digital edition book lending via the Internet with eBooks available in either ePub or an Adobe digital Editions encapsulated format so thought I'd try installing the windows version via the installed PlayOnLinux software and mercifully it installs with no faults and runs (for me anyway) perfectly. Of course Adobe will initially detect that you have an unsupported operating system when you go to download but if you click on where it says If you have trouble installing Digital Editions, see the installation TechNote then you find a direct download link for the software.

10 things you didn't know about Ceefax

Here's my personal Ceefax naff fact. I still have some old VHS off air recordings in which the Ceefax or equivalent of the day can be accessed (only happened with some recorders). Quite bizarre to dial-up the news of that day as the info got embedded in the programme recorded on that day.
